TI AUTOMOTIVE
TI Automotive is a global supplier specialising in the design and manufacture of components and systems for the automotive industry.
Before implementing the MES platform, TI Automotive relied on poorly connected systems and had limited real-time visibility of its plant operations.
The company needed accurate information about manufacturing times and machine downtime, complete component traceability and reliable data to plan production and meet customer delivery deadlines.
Controlling scrap and identifying quality deviations was also essential, particularly due to the high cost of the raw materials used in production.
TAI Smart Factory implemented an MES solution to digitalise and centralise production information, provide real-time data and ensure complete traceability of components and processes.
The project began in 2003 at the Barcelona plant, which became the reference template for deploying the solution across more than 130 plants worldwide.
The platform’s flexibility made it possible to adapt the solution to the specific requirements of each plant and country. TI Automotive subsequently implemented the CMMS module to connect maintenance management with production information.
